At the very beginning, Free Health Check-up Camp, Free Coaching, Free Computer Training, Blood Donation Camp, Day Observation, Tree Plantation, Cloths Distribution, Relief work among the victims of Flood, Earth Quake, Cyclone etc. was given to the helpless peoples of the locality. A committee was setup which decided to get it being registered under Wet Bengal Societies Registration Act and prepared the papers for registration. Activities were going on in full being getting cooperation of the local peoples and Govt. organizations. A long with free computer training and free coaching, seminars on various social problems were organized, several programmes like Celebration of Important Days, Cultural Programmes, Vocational Training Programmes etc. Our organization registered during the year 2008-09. Now our organization associated with other Govt. and social organizations, and various other programmes are organized with great enthusiasm.


The local peoples are now a day’s became the part and parcel of the association, it is with their blessings and good wishes that NARKELDANGA TREKKERS ASSOCIATION is marching forward towards the whole year. .................

ABOUT US


In the beginning we some youth of North Kolkata were interested in Mountaineering, Rock Climbing & Adventure programme and we join the adventure programme several times, which was our hobby. During our Mountaineering programme on the way we find many deprived, distressed and other needy people of all age groups, which touched our heart. It was also places great responsibility on our youth members to render services for our community. Attractive programmes and need based activities are part of our members. We have conducted many seminar on the issues related to health and development with the help of local peoples and Govt. Officials. Our kind hearted youth members associated with various types of social activities throughout their life. When we thought to continue our social welfare activities for uplift and benefit for the slums needy peoples of the local areas. So, we kept vast contact with different activities at Narkeldanga under KMC Ward No. 30. We wished to run the new voluntary organization in a decentralized manner. Our idea came into action by our members with the cooperation of few of our local personalities of social fields and started the voluntary organization by the name of NARKELDANGA TREKKERS ASSOCIATION in the year of 2008.                 Cont..............
